i have a sony surround sound system that came with wired speakers. I want to use wireless speakers, are there any that I can buy to replace the wired speakers??

Yup … quite a few. See the link for some examples. Note however that sound quality might be compromised somewhat vs wired speakers (second link) … although the convenience may be worthwhile.

You can and others have shown you the best products out there.
However you can match the dynamic range and performance of a wired speaker.
Wireless systems ALL modulate sound to FM, so limited highs and slow response times. Remember FM needs lag to Demodulate properly( why radio stations have you turn down radio when calling). It creates a whole host of performance issues and remember you will need to get power to them any way.

This might be totally useless to you but wired speakers sound better that wireless ones simply because of lesser number of variables. Think – transmission loss/ conversion loss etc.
