Are there any good wireless speakers for surround sound?

By admin · Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

I’ve been thinking of buying a surround sound for my living room but the wires are such a mess. I know wireless may not produce the same sound quality but what is a good solution? Lets just say the budget goes only up to $1000 for example.

Wireless speakers sound terrible. The Bose 321 system another poster mentions does not sound like genuine surround sound in the home. A very high percentage of these are returned. If you do not feel qualified to fish wire through the walls and the attic pay someone to do it. Hard wired rears are the only way to get real surround sound!

Go take a listen to the Bose 1-2-3 system. Really incredible sound. There are no rear speakers. Just two speakers in the front with an acoustimass module. You really get the sense that the sound surrounds you. I think you will be really impressed. Runs around 8 or 9 hundred dollars.
