Why can’t I get any sound out of my wireless home theater speakers?
I have an LG Wireless kit (model ACC96WK). I can’t get it to pick up a signal from its transmitter. I’ve shut down my wireless PC network, but to no avail. Any suggestions?
Great Question and thank you for particpating in Yahoo’s Q & A. By shutting down your wireless network, you’ve eliminated the possibility that it may be the cause of the problem. However, you may also have 2.4 gig cordless phones in the house that are trying to operate on the same frequency, as most wireless speakers systems run at 2.4 gig. There are a few systems that operate at 900 mhz as do most Wireless Headphones that are used for listening to the tv without bothering others in the room. Some people still have 900 mhz cordless phones which can also cause conflicts with your speaker system. Todays network equipment, as you know, will reach long distances so your problem can easily be caused by a neighbor. If you’re not able to solve the problem, let me know and I’ll help you until the problem is solved. Larry Radio Shack 01-9590
