    I think that having straight cable is preferred, at least in my opinion. You have less problems of frequency interference running to your surround speakers, don’t have to worry about battery, if it has that capability, or looking for a power supply outlet.

      Everything else being equal a wired system will always be better than a wireless system. If you are talking about wireless speakers then they are not really wireless anyway. The rear speakers still have to be plugged into a wall outlet or an rear channel amp anyway.
