Try this one, The Sennheiser RS-120 Wireless Headphones are an ideal choice for wireless use of both Hi-Fi audio and the TV. The open-ear headphones are supraaural and provide detailed, warm sound reproduction with a strong bass response. The headphone receive sound through walls and ceilings so you won't have to remain in the same room as your equipment. Power comes from NiMH batteries that are recharged by simply putting the headphones on their transmitter base that can be mounted to a wall. The entire system weighs just 8.1 ounces, and it comes with a two-year warranty.

I agree with the previous person who said that you should try Infrared.

The reason you're hearing distortion and telephone calls is because those cheaper brand headphones utilize the 900MHz and 2.4Ghz band that telephones use. Honestly, you would think that they'd have come up with a different frequency to use other than one where you KNOW that there's going to be possible interference.

Infrared eliminates that! Completely!!

True, you have to be in the same room and in direct sight of the transmitter,.... but if you're watching a movie or truly enjoying a song and relaxing.... you shouldn't be wandering all over the place anyways. Right? :-)

Try these. Not ridiculously expensive,... but a little. Judging from the reviews they're well worth it though.

Enjoy!
References :
http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-SE-DIR800C-Digital-Wireless-Headphones/dp/B0007XL43M/sr=8-4/qid=1161562086/ref=pd_bbs_4/002-3826201-2242452?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
