  • Denon AVR-1708 Independent Zone Home Theater Receiver – AVR1708

Posted by admin on November 16th, 2009 and filed under Dvd player surround sound | No Comments »

    Welcome to Dakmart.COM.

You are looking at the Denon AVR-1708 Independent Zone Home Theater Receiver – AVR1708

The AVR-1708 combines solid Denon construction, plenty of convenience features, and the advanced processing you need for outstanding surround sound from all your entertainment sources. Seven channels of Denon’’s acclaimed high-current amplification will treat your ears to clear, dynamic sound. And options such as XM Satellite Radio capability and iPod® integration add even more to this receiver’’s versatility.

Denon also included Audyssey MultEQ, a sophisticated auto-calibration system that helps you get the most accurate home theater sound possible. Just plug in the included microphone and place it in up to six different seats in your home theater room. The AVR-1708 analyzes the sound from each listening position, then automatically adjusts level, equalization, and delay settings for each of your speakers. You get precise surround sound across a wide listening area.

If you’ve got an HDTV with only one HDMI input, you’ll appreciate this AVR-1708’s 1080p-compatible HDMI video switching. Hook up your HD satellite receiver and a high-def disc player via HDMI and switch between them, while maintaining pristine picture quality for both. Component video conversion allows you to route all of your analog video sources to your TV using only one component video connection. This simplifies hookup, streamlines switching, and maintains the best picture for every analog video source in your system.

This AVR-1708’s dual-room/dual-source audio capability lets you enjoy home theater in your main room while a housemate enjoys stereo music in a second room. You also get plenty of connections for system-building, including HDTV-compatible component video switching. A front-panel audio/video input lets you quickly and easily hook up a camcorder or game system. The handy remote with glow-in-the-dark buttons can control most brands of TVs, DVD players, and other components.

    Specifications of the AVR-1708 include:

    – 75 watts x 7 into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.08% THD

    Rocketfish Wireless Surround System

Posted by admin on May 17th, 2009 and filed under Wireless home theater system | 9 Comments »

    Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker System
allows you to send a wireless signal from a sender unit connected to your receiver to your rear satellite speakers. Gives you full surround sound w/out running wires all over the place. The front speakers connect to receiver as normal. The rear speakers connect to the sender unit and transmit the signal to the rear via a receiver which connects to your rear speakers. It’s not “true” wireless, but it’s pretty close. It keeps you from having to run wires from your receiver to the rear satellites.

Recommend: You may need to purchase add’l speaker wire. The included wires are short and may not reach to your desired location
